Speculative fiction short story, The End is Where We Start From, was published in the 2018 edition of fourW twenty nine, an annual poetry and prose anthology available for purchase through the Booranga Writers’ Centre.
Literary short fiction, The Touched, was published in fourW thirty: pearl, available November 2019 through the Booranga Writers’ Centre.
The 2020 edition of fourW, featured the historical fiction piece River Boy, inspired by Japanese mythology. River Boy was short listed for the Booranga Prize and is available for purchase via Booranga Writers’ Centre.
The Forest at the Edge of the World features in the bushfire relief anthology, Stories of Hope. The 100 000 word collection of prose features speculative fiction stories written by Australian authors. Available in eBook format from Amazon for just $4.99. All proceeds are donated directly to the WWF and the Australian Red Cross.

Awards
The Dreambound Tree was awarded Runner Up in the 2019 International Women’s Day Patricia Caskie Literature Award. You can read the short story here
The Touched was shortlisted for the 2019 Booranga Literary Prize for Fiction, as was River Boy in 2020.
In 2021, Jessica was awarded a writing grant from Create NSW via the Booranga Writers Centre to create a collection of short fiction. Tentatively titled Project Zed, the speculative fiction anthology will explore the future of Australia – and the world – should humankind be successful in achieving deep space travel and off-world colonisation.
